GIRLS 5 - 17
Are you a girl who's interested in learning a sport, sampling the arts, preparing for a career, or pitching a tent? In Girl Scouting, you can do it all! Perhaps you're a parent with a daughter who would benefit from the Girl Scout program. Girl Scouting is open to all girls!
Traditional Girl Scout Troops
- Daisy Girl Scouts (Kindergarten / ages 5-6)
- Brownie Girl Scouts (grades 1-3 / ages 6-8)
- Junior Girl Scouts (grades 4-6 / ages 9-11)
- Cadette Girl Scouts (grades 7-9 / ages 12-14)
- Senior Girl Scouts (grades 10-12 / ages 15-17)
Individually registered Girl Scouts
- Juliettes (ages 9-11)
- STUDIO 2B (ages 11-17)
The program for each age level consists of activity books and handbooks produced by Girls Scouts of the USA, troop programs and activities, and council-sponsored programs and events.
Girls interested in the Girl Scout program and events, but not in joining a troop may register as a Juliette or STUDIO 2B member. As Juliettes, girls working with an adult can participate in events and programs as they choose, on an individual basis, and on their own schedule.
Instead of working on badges and interest projects, Girl Scouts ages 11-17 can work to build a charm bracelet by participating in the Focus and Charm series of projects and using the Collections magazine. STUDIO 2B has four key messages as its foundation for creating a place where girls can Become, Belong, Believe, and Build. Click here for more information about STUDIO 2B!
